So my nephew Loki was a big 'Shonen Jump' reader back in 2009... and they advertised a Cover Art Contest for participants 14 and older (likely an error in printing!). In any case, this resulted in me making a cover illustration to submit; perhaps not surprisingly, given the number of obviously-not-made-by-kids entries the magazine must have received, they simply never announced the winner publically, and moved on to their next contest... properly aimed at fourteen and younger, this time. Since Loki's favorite story in Shonen Jump was Naruto -- following the adventures of a somewhat knuckleheaded kid ninja -- Naruto and related characters were who the cover finally featured. Here it is again, minus the faux cover cruft:
